Gaiman’s Good Omens receives first trailer
By Staff Writer 1 November 2018 | Categories: newsWith the Sandman universe receiving a series of new titles added to it, plus anticipation for the second season of American Gods on a high, writer Neil Gaiman looks like he is on a roll. Now even more so with the teaser trailer released for Good Omens. Good Omens (full title - Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch) was co-written by Terry Pratchett, famous for the Discworld fantasy novels, and tells quite a strange tale.
Heading to Amazon Prime, the series focuses on the ‘friendship’ between two gentlemen on opposite ends of the spectrum. David Tennant (Doctor Who) is the demon Crowley while Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) stars as Aziraphale, an angel. These two need to team up to stop the apocalypse from happening, but each have their own unique reasons for doing so.
The trailer has more of a British feel to it than the sleek American style of American Gods, and that might just be a good thing. It’s directed by Douglas Mackinnon, known for his work on British series such as Sherlock and Doctor Who, and produced by Neil Gaiman himself.
Good Omens is heading first to Amazon Prime Video in the new year, with BBC Two receiving it afterwards. Hit play on the trailer below to see if you’re getting any decent premonitions about this one.
