With DC's Batman already a fixture in the Telltale gaming library, the developer has turned its attention to Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, announcing its 2017 arrival with a teaser trailer at The Game Awards last night. Unfortunately, the teaser does not offer much, with only a floating cassette player and headphones, likely belonging to fan-favourite Star Lord.

As there is not much else to go on, here's what Telltale's co-founder Kevin Bruner had to say: "In Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, players will take on multiple roles within the ragtag band of heroes, and take the pilot’s seat in directing their escapades around the universe. We are always honoured to be working with the best creative partners and storytellers in entertainment, and working with Marvel on this series leaves us excited to share what we’ve been developing when it premieres in 2017."

With Telltale's track record rock solid until now, we're fairly sure Guardians of the Galaxy will also impress. Watch the teaser video below.
