Perhaps the most highly anticipated television event this year, season six of Game of Thrones is arriving on 24 April. The HBO-produced series has been teasing information about the upcoming season, but this first full-length trailer showcases more than ever.
From what we can tell, it seems like Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) is well and truly dead, as his lifeless body can be seen in one of the final frames of the trailer below. The trailer also begins with the words, "He's gone" as Snow lies in the same place he was stabbed several times by his fellow Night's Watch Crows at the end of last season.
After that, we quickly shift to the Lannisters, as Cercei (Lena Headey) plots her revenge against the High Sparrow that now control King's Landing. Added to this is Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), as her fate lies in the balance as a prisoner of the Dothraki. We could also see Ned Stark (Sean Bean) make a flashback cameo appearance, as we also see what we assume is the Tower of Joy. As such, we might finally find out who Jon Snow's birth mother is. One of other interesting plot lines is Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), who we have not seen in quite some time. He's shown confronting a white walker, but whether or not this is just a dream sequence is unclear.
While much of this is conjecture at this point, it appears this season of Game of Thrones will not disappoint. Hit play below and decipher what you can.
