HTC readying M10 device for 12 April unveiling
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 24 March 2016 | Categories: newsInstead of going head to head with the likes of Samsung and LG at MWC 16 this year with a new flagship smartphone, Taiwanese manufacturer HTC opted to shed some light on its Vive VR headset. Now the company is readying a new flagship device for unveiling, with a #PowerOf10 event dated for 12 April.
Invites were sent out earlier in the week, and as far as we can tell, HTC will once again be doing a global livestream (14:00 PM local time) as opposed to a stand alone event. The company did the same thing for the HTC One A9 smartphone last year to mixed reaction. Hopefully, this upcoming event will be better on the whole, as HTC is in dire need of a good launch for its One M10 smartphone (unofficial name at this stage).
Earlier in the year, both Samsung and LG debuted new flagship offerings, the Galaxy S7 and G5, respectively. Each device was critically lauded for their designs and powerful specifications. As such, HTC's One M10 certainly has its work cut out for it.
For now, details on the device are hard to find, with the only feature spoken about until now being a 'revolutionary' camera system. More information will likely be incoming over the next couple of weeks, as serial leakers try to spy the device first.
