The Escort

While a guy falling in love with a heart-of-gold prostitute might be an old trope, The Escort is rom-com more in the Judd Apatow ilk than that of Gere/Roberts. Focusing on the life of a sex-addicted journalist Mitch, played by the relatively unknown Michael Doneger (This Thing with Sarah, Closing Time), as he tries to survive Los Angeles. 

In steps Victoria (Lyndsy Fonseca, Kick-Ass, Nikita), whose real name is Natalie. The pair's meeting does not result in anything, but as Mitch tries to get a new job with an awesome story, he turns to Natalie and follows her on her nightly escapades. If love overcoming prostitution is still not enough for you, it also features cult-favourite Bruce Campbell, who's set to star in the Ash vs Evil Dead TV series.
