Hot new trailers: Victor Frankenstein
Release date: 25 November in the States

The story of Frankenstein and the creation of his monster has been due for a remake for quite some time, with the last good retelling being 94’s Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. In this trailer we see Harry Potter and the bloke from Coldplay introduce the new CGI treated, Victor Frankenstein.

The movie tells the tale from the point of view of the hapless Igor (Daniel Radcliffe, the Harry Potter series), having to do all Frankenstein’s (James McAvoy. X-Men: Days of Future Past) dirty work in creating the monster. Finding the right size body parts aside, he soon starts paying the price for Frankenstein’s obsession with creating life.

Two things get us excited, the first being that there has not been a full reveal of the monster, which we hope will add some much needed drama to what looks like a movie that can’t decide between being a drama or comedy.

The second is the inclusion of Andrew Scott as man of the law, Barnaby, who we’ve grown very fond of in the Sherlock Holmes TV series. In fact, director Paul McGuigan worked on some of the series’ episodes.
