IDW goes all out with comics in new Humble Bundle
By Thomas McKinnon 3 March 2017 | Categories: newsFor comic book fans, we kind of think of it as our duty to alert you to great Humble Book Bundles appearing. The IDW Publishing one that went live on Wednesday is on top with the best we’ve seen, offering a great range even for those opting for only the bottom tier.
IDW is one of those comic book publishers that you have to keep an eye on since they have come up with some great titles, with many actually included here. If you pay a measly $1 you get some smart comics, including Winter World Vol. 1-2 and the Comic Book History of Comics. This tells the tale of comic book greats such as the super Jack Kirby, the frantic R. Crumb, the maddening Harvey Kurtzman, the alchemical Alan Moore, the marvellous Stan Lee and the award-winning Will Eisner.
$5 will bag you a number of respectable titles, including 30 Days of Night, Kill Shakespeare Vol 1. and Locke & Key Vol. 1. We believe the sweet spot lies at $10, since you get more than enough comics to keep you busy through the weekend, with the excellent The Cape, Parker: The Hunter, and for Cthulhu fans – The Squidder to be found.
If you haven’t read the Zombies vs Robots comics, you might want to shell out an extra $8, to get the omnibus in the next tier, which includes all the series. William Gibson of Neuromancer fame’s Archangel is also onboard, while for those thinking that the world might as well come to an end, Ragnarök Vol. 1 is included.
If you have a bit of cash lying around, for $25 you can buy a physical copy of Diablo House #1, signed by writer Ted Adams. This Humble Bundle is in support of non-profit Traveling Stories, and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
