For the third year running, Apple and Google top Interbrand's list of most valuable global brands. As a whole, tech companies dominated the annual survey, with the likes of IBM (5th), Samsung (7th) and Amazon (10th) all ranking in the top 10.

Apple topped the list with an estimated value of $170 billion by Interbrand. Following second was Google with $120 billion. Each company saw a growth of 43% and 12% respectively. The former is one of the Interbrand report's top risers, surpassed only by Facebook's 54% growth, which sees the Zuckerberg-owned company place 23rd.

Although the tech companies dominate Interbrand's report, those in other industries also made their mark, with Coca-Cola placing 3rd with $78 billion and car manufacturer Toyota coming in at 6th with $49 billion.

There were also some newcomers in the form of Lenovo at 100th place and PayPal debuting at 97th. These two new additions take the place of Nintendo and Nokia, both dropping out of Interbrand's report.
