Land Rover fans get their own shoes
By Staff Writer 5 October 2018 | Categories: newsCalling all those Landy fans out there. You already have your own smartphone, how about your own pair of Land Rover boots? British shoe brand Clarks has worked together with Land Rover to create two styles of shoes. Available as six pairs, the shoes promise to be as tough as your vehicle.
Our heart lies with the sport boots (featured at the top), with the CLR 52.N Hi GORE-TEX striking the fine balance between performance and lifestyle. The upper features GORE-TEX Performance stretch technology that offers waterproof, insulated and breathable properties. This while the shock-absorbing EVA midsole keeps these boots lightweight, and targeted rubber pods in the outsole deliver on flexibility and traction to ensure you're prepared for every adventure, or at least every trip in your Landy. This range starts retailing at $220, and is available in black, dark grey/black and khaki.
The CLR 51.N GORE-TEX men's sneakers looks a lot more casual, and features breathable and waterproof GORE-TEX Extended knitted weave uppers. It does not contain the ankle support of the boots, but certainly appears to be comfortable, easy to wear shoes that wouldn’t mind a bit of outdoor fun. They are available in khaki, grey and light grey, starting at $200.
As to when these will hit the market, November is the date provided, but whether we will see these in South Africa remains to be seen.
