IFA 2017 in Berlin has served up a few flagship devices, but those in the market for a mid-range smartphone were not let down either. Aiming to deliver in that regard is Lenovo, with the company unveiling the new Moto X4.

As the name suggests, it's the fourth generation of Moto X, bringing with it a few interesting quirks. This comes in the form of a 16 MP front facing camera specifically designed for the selfie obsessed consumer, and also touts a 4 MP adaptive low light mode. On the back is a 12 MP shooter with dual autofocus, as well as an 8 MP ultra wide-angle (120-degree) lens.

Delving a bit deeper, the Moto X4 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU that clocks at a solid 2.2 GHz, along with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage (microSD slot for up to 2 TB extra). There's also a nicely sized 3000 mAh battery thrown into the mix, and a 5.2" Full HD (1920x1080) display up front, beneath which sits a fingerprint sensor/home button.

All this is set to cost €399 (R6 160) when the Moto X4 hits select markets in Europe over the coming month. There's now word yet from Lenovo on when it will be available locally, or indeed how much it will retail for. Until then, give the video below a watch.
