Linkle is the new female version of Link for Hyrule Warriors Legends
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 13 November 2015 | Categories: newsNintendo had one of its Direct livestream events yesterday, detailing a lot of new about its upcoming games and developments in that area. Sadly no NX console, but Nintendo did offer some respite in the form of Hyrule Warriors news. The company is creating a new female version of Link from Legend of Zelda for the 3DS version of the game, named Linkle.

Linkle will be an exclusive character for Hyrule Warriors Legends on 3DS when it gets released on 25 March 2016 in the States. It has taken a little over one year to bring the Linkle character to fruition. While she is not a part of the official Legend of Zelda lore, a concept drawing was first introduced for the Wii U version of Hyrule warriors back in 2014.
This is by no means a massive step forward for the company, as female characters have served as the central protagonists in other titles. Linkle therefore, is just an added incentive for gamers to purchase Hyrule Warriors Legends on the 3DS next year.
