Benedict Cumberbatch features in first teaser trailer for Doctor Strange
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 13 April 2016 | Categories: newsIf you're a comic book movie fan, your schedule for 2016 is pretty full. Like us, you probably forgot about Marvel's Doctor Strange film, which arrives in October this year. With the prospect of Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game) playing Dr. Stephen Strange seeming too good to pass up, Marvel Studios has also released a teaser trailer to remind us why this is an important movie for them, as well as why you should diarise its release.

Looking like a mixture of The Matrix, Inception and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Doctor Strange aims to push the boundaries as far as what we've seen from Marvel films to date. It also features a pretty stellar cast, with Tilda Swinton playing The Ancient One and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo.
How Doctor Strange fits into the greater Marvel movie universe is unclear for now, but at least there is two minutes of footage to fawn over while we ponder it.
