Marvel producer confirms some Avengers are done after Infinity War
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 27 June 2017 | Categories: newsThe journey that Marvel begin with its movie universe after the release of Iron Man in 2008, is coming to fruition with the first part of Infinity War next year. While we're still mulling over what Part 2 will entail, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed that the two-part event will be the end of the line for some Avengers characters.
Precisely what that entails is unclear, and in particular, whether these Avengers will die during Infinity War, or simply step down from the superhero team.
We believe that either are equally as likely, but Avengers dying would certainly be the more interesting notion to posit. Given that the Avengers will be taking on the mad titan Thanos (voiced by Josh Brolin), along with the battles heading into space, the likes of Hawkeye or Black Widow may be outgunned.
On a more practical level, however, certain actors are nearing the end of their contracts with Marvel. More specifically, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, who portray Captain America and Thor respectively, will fulfill the obligations of their deals following Part 2 of Infinity War.
While movie deaths and unrenewed contracts are both on the cards for Infinity War Part 1 and 2, which Avenger will feature in either, remains to be seen.
