We might be giving away our age here, but we can fondly remember playing Mega Man on consoles back in the day. Capcom’s little Blue Bomber has been a hit since its first release in 1987 for the NES, with some long overdue news for fans of the franchise arriving yesterday.

Firstly, come 2018 Mega Man 11 will make its long last debut, with Capcom confirming so on a 30th anniversary Twitch live stream. Taking into account that Mega Man 10 released way back in 2010, a new game was certainly due, with 11 coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in the latter half of the year.

The look for the game should be all to familiar, although it deviates from the regular 2D design, going for a 2.5D art style, with 3D backgrounds, perhaps familiar for God of War fans. Check out the announcement trailer below.

More good news followed, with Capcom confirming that Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch in 2018. Inside the collections fans will find all the Mega Man love they need, with the first one including Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5 and Mega Man 6. The second collection features Mega Man 7, Mega Man 8, Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10. If you own a PC, PS4, or Xbox One, you will be happy to know that these are already available.

Producer Kazuhiro Tsuchiya wasn’t done there and had some more Blue Bomber news to spread, noting that all eight titles from the Mega Man X spinoff will be coming to PS4, PC, Switch, and Xbox One. All in all, not a bad day then for Mega Man fans.

If you have 40 minutes (and data) to spare, have a look at the Megaman X playthrough posted below.
