Mercedes-Benz to launch their own subscription service Stateside
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 13 April 2018 | Categories: newsThe past few months have seen German carmakers hop on the subscription service bandwagon. No, you won't be able to watch Stranger Things thanks to BMW, but you will be able to drive one of their luxury cars, for a sizeable monthly fee, if you live Stateside. Joining the action is Mercedes-Benz, with the Stuttgart-based company launching a service named Mercedes-Benz Collection.
The pilot for the offering is set to start in June, with Nashville and Philadelphia serving as test cities for the carmaker. The finer details of the service have not been outlined yet, but Mercedes-Benz does note that there will be multiple subscription tiers. They will also be making some of the AMG models exclusive to the service, but again no specific vehicles have been mentioned.
With BMW and Porsche launching similar offerings in the States, it should be interesting to see if the car subscription services prove as successful as the streaming counterparts.
