Microsoft and Prima Interactive slash price of Xbox One
By Ryan Noik 28 April 2015 | Categories: newsNot to be outdone by Ster Kinekor Entertainment cutting the price of the PS4 for the upcoming long weekend, Microsoft and Prima Interactive have similarly announced two price cuts on the Xbox One (review).
The first cut to come into effect, while stock last, is on the Xbox One Limited Edition Sunset Overdrive bundle, reduced from R6 300 to R5 300. If, for some insane reason, Sunset Overdrive (review) doesn’t tickle your fancy, there is also a R300 discount on the standard Xbox One edition to R6 000. Gamers will have the choice to include either Xbox One exclusive racing game Forza Horizon 2, or the Halo Masterchief collection in their package.
Clearly, the former is the better deal of the two, boasting the deepest price cut we have seen from the company in a while, along with the fact that Sunset Overdrive has benefitted from some DLC which has further extended its playtime.
Both deals are available between 1 and 3 May 2015 only, which means if you want to jump into the Xbox One waters, you are going to need to act quickly. Additionally, the companies have warned that stocks are limited.
The deals are available from Bt Games, Makro, Incredible Connection, CNA, Dion Wired, Game, Toys R US, Takealot, Musica, Games4u, and Animeworx.
