Microsoft enhancing Xbox 360 classics for Xbox One X
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 24 October 2017 | Categories: newsMicrosoft's Enhanced Program continues to grow, with the company announcing more titles arriving for the Xbox One X. What makes these additions particularly noteworthy, is that they include some Xbox 360 classic titles such as Halo 3. There are only four Xbox 360 enhanced games at this stage, with Fallout 3, Assassin's Creed and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion added to the mix.
All of them are expected to be available under the Enhanced tag come 7 November, supporting HDR gameplay in certain cases. To that end, before buying an Enhanced title, you should also check to see that the 4K or HDR logos are also present. That said, even though not all Enhanced games will be 4K capable, they will run better on the Xbox One X compared to their original platform, confirms Microsoft.
The Xbox One X Enhanced Program already has more than 100 titles in its library, and along with the four classic 360 games, the company has 13 original Xbox titles also in the works. If backwards compatibility is important to you, it may be worthwhile investing in an Xbox One X when it arrives locally in early December.
