By Staff Writer 8 December 2015 | Categories: newsMicrosoft South Africa has launched its official online store in the country, enabling local customers to purchase any product from the company’s ecosystem of devices through www.microsoftstore.co.za.
The Microsoft online store is said to boast a broad assortment of original branded goods ranging from Lumia smartphones to Xbox consoles. One of the more eagerly awaited arrivals on the Microsoft Online Store is the Display Dock, which will be needed for any Lumia 950/950XL users keen on trying out Continuum. The Display Dock is expected to be available for purchase in January 2016, with an estimated R1 300 price (yet to be confirmed). In addition, the store features products from Microsoft’s partners to provide customers with more choice whilst they are shopping for PCs, tablets or smartphones.
Not featured yet are the Microsoft Band wearable, Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, with Microsoft SA stating that there are no developments regarding these products that can be revealed at this stage.
“The explosion of social and mobile technology has ignited ‘the era of the smart shopper’ where consumer purchase decisions are determined through online product and service content and reviews. We are also finding that more and more local consumers look to benefit from the convenience afforded to them from secure online shopping and free delivery, which they can find in the Microsoft online store” says Zoaib Hoosen, MD of Microsoft South Africa.
“The Microsoft online store in South Africa will act as a one-stop shop for all Xbox, Lumia and Windows related products from Microsoft as well as our partners. For this local launch, customers can take advantage of a lot of exclusives and special offers,” concludes Hoosen.
