Microsoft has been on a bit of a streak of late, ever since it previewed its plans for Windows 10 a few months ago. Since then, the company has taken to its Blog with metronomic timing, detailing little bits of info that future Windows 10 users can look forward to. The latest concerns the Windows Store, and Microsoft's plans to unify all app, movie, music and TV show content into a single Store.

The announcement falls in line with the one Microsoft made in September last year, as it released a single application platform for developers to design on. As such the newly designed apps are intended to work on a variety of Windows 10-enabled devices. Naturally then, the move to one unified Windows Store seemed the next logical move.

Microsoft says this unified Store will be "the one way for apps and games to be discovered, purchased and updated across all of your devices." It’s not simply apps and games though, as Microsoft will also be adding music, movies and TV shows into the Store for access across all Windows devices.

According to the Windows Blog post, a glimpse of the new Store beta can be seen in the latest builds for Windows 10’s Technical Preview. Microsoft first added a Movies and TV navigation tab to the store last month, but content could not be accessed. Over the next 24 hours however, the company plans to turn on the Movies and TV tab in the Store beta.

Before you start clicking away furiously at your Windows 10 Technical Preview, the Movies and TV page content can only be accessed by users in select countries. Sadly, South Africa has not made the grade just yet, but Microsoft assures that more countries will follow.
