OnePlus is a smartphone brand that isn't available in South Africa in any official capacity at the moment, but given how many Chinese companies have landed locally in recent years, they're certainly worth keeping an eye on. To that end, we're curious to see what their next flagship device, the OnePlus 5, will have in store.

When it comes to design, this past week has seen a handful of images surface for the device, with OnePlus also getting in on the action. Consequently, the company released an image featuring the back cover and rear camera housing for the OnePlus 5 via their official Twitter profile. The other image comes courtesy of Android Police, showcasing both the rear and front of the device, but only the top portion for each.

From the above the new phone certainly bares a striking resemblance to the latest iPhone, even more so than Huawei's P10 and P10 Plus. OnePlus has also gone the dual lens route for the primary camera. As for how many megapixels it will sport, the slated 20 June reveal will illuminate the full details.
