More info coming through on Need for Speed reboot
By Staff Writer 29 May 2015 | Categories: newsAfter the teaser trailer for The Need for Speed reboot hit the Tube about a week ago, more info has been coming through in dribs and drabs, and not all of it good.
Firstly, in response to a fan’s question on Twitter, EA has revealed that the reboot will have to be one of those games that forces you to connect to the internet if you want to play the game. But don’t worry folks, it will offer, “More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends.” Sigh.
@DeanRheims NFS will require an online connection, but the benefits are nice. More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends.

As far as a release date goes, Gaming Respawn believes we are looking at early November for the game to get out of the starting grid. More specifically, they mention the Xbox Games Store which pegged the Need for Speed release in the UK on 5 November, while the US store has it as 3 November. Both these listings have since been removed.
If you haven’t seen the trailer, which EA notes is in-game footage, check it out right below.
