The Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetition has seen players competing in global events. The South African Season One grand final is taking place this month at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice in Menlyn, and there are still places available to bag yourself R30 000 and a trip to Ireland to compete on the European stage.

Players who did not qualify via the online route can secure a spot to compete at R100 per player to event happening on the 27th of July. Tickets to compete are available but limited and apparently selling fast, so competitors should make sure they book their spot before it is too late. Win and you receive R30k and a trip to Celtic Throwdown in Dublin, Ireland.

Along with battling for the cash and other prizes, each entrant will secure themselves a goodie bag valued at over R500, which includes:

  • A six-pack of Fokof Lager vs Mortal Kombat 11 gamer cans,
  • a Mortal Kombat 11 t-shirt,
  • a famous Fire & Ice! milkshake,
  • 30% discount on accommodation (incl. breakfast) at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice! Menlyn.

The top four players from the Last Chance Qualifier on the day will face off against the players who qualified top four online:

Protea Hotel Fire & Ice. by Marriott in Pretoria will play host to the day’s action, with the matches starting at 10 am. A selection of the day’s crucial matches will also be streamed live via the ACGL YouTube Channel, so even if you can’t be in attendance, you can catch the action from home.

The LAN finale is open to all residents of Sub-Saharan Africa who can attend on the day. Terms and conditions will apply, and all players will need to be 18 years or older on the 27thJuly. If you’re feeling confident, you will need to ensure that your passport is valid for the trip to Ireland. The tournament will be run on PlayStation 4.
