Mortal Kombat XL lands on Steam for PC on 4 October
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 5 September 2016 | Categories: newsWatching the gruesome fatalities in Mortal Kombat X never gets old. Add to that developer NetherRealm's constant additions to the roster via Kombat Packs, and it's easy to see why it was one of the best fighting games released in quite some time.
In January this year, NetherRealm announced its Mortal Kombat XL expansion, which crams together all the content from the original game, as well as the characters and extras found in Kombat Pack 2. Now, Mortal Kombat XL is arriving on PC, with Steam receiving their own version of the title come 4 October.
There's also a little something extra for PC gamers, as those that own the original version of the game will receive a patch to clean up any bugs and fix some of the gameplay elements for a smoother running game, says NetherRealm.
For those unfamiliar with Kombat Pack 2 and what it has on offer, glance below:
● Brand new playable characters the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series, Triborg and Bo’Rai Cho
● Apocalypse Skin Pack
● Previously released content including playable Goro, Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Skin Pack and Kold War Scorpion Skin
● Playable characters Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tremor and Tanya, with each accompanied by three themed skins
● Samurai Skin Pack
