Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus coming back for Deadpool 2
By Staff Writer 13 January 2017 | Categories: newsDeadpool was the surprise hit of 2016. With a much smaller budget than the Avengers and X-Men kin, it managed to cash in on the shenanigans of its R-rated badmouth superhero, plus the support offered by a few extra mutants thrown in for good measure. That said, Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand) formed an interesting counter to Deadpool’s manic nature, and ditto for Colossus (Stefan Kapicic). These two have now been confirmed for Deadpool 2, but how much of a role they will play is anyone’s guess.
Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick noted to Collider, “Yeah, they’ll make at least an appearance.” “An appearance” can mean many things, with Collider further contemplating that the irreverent nature of Deadpool 2 could lead to them being killed of immediately, or their roles can be amped up, which could just mean an X-Force movie in the pipeline. We’re all for the latter, especially because of the dreary nature of the Suicide Squad movie.
For those wondering, the real star of the show, Dopinder (Karan Soni) the taxi driver, will also be coming back for more in number two. There is no word though on a solo movie for him just yet.
Deadpool 2 is scheduled for release in 2018.
