Netflix has certainly ramped up its plans to develop more original content, with a number of new TV series and movies being showcased on the platform each month. Now the company is shifting gears into an entirely foreign category - comic books. After initially teasing a new offering called The Magic Order, a full trailer has been revealed and our interest has definitely been piqued.

Written by Mark Millar (Kick-Ass, Wanted) and illustrated by Olivier Coipel (X-Men, Thor), The Magic Order has some premier talent behind it, but unlike other Netflix projects, users will not be able to stream this offering. We had thought that it could be a motion comic, or be presented in a similar fashion to Marvel Knights, but you can only get your hands on The Magic Order at comic book stores.

Little is known about the story, other than it being placed in a world where magic and wizards exist, some of which are being targeted and killed by an mysterious pair of masked men. The first issue of The Magic Order arrives in comic book stores Stateside on 13 June, with its local availability unclear at this stage.
