The Eisner Awards can be seen as the Oscars of the comic book industry, presented annually for the best of the best. Our friends over at Humble Bundle have compiled an awesome selection of 2017 Eisner Award nominees, available for a sweet price. Some of the titles in the Eisner Nominees 2017 Showcase have been nominated for best new series, interior art, writer, one-shot, anthology and short story. Granted, you’re not going to find a lot of superhero titles here, but for those who don’t mind exposing their comic taste buds to some new flavours, it will be worthwhile to give the below a chance.

The $1 bundle looks a bit sparse, containing the collected Faith Vol. 1 and a number of shorter series or single issues, including Kim & Kim: This Glamorous, High-Flying Rock Star Life, William Gibson’s Archangel #1 and Your Black Friend.

We believe the value of this bundle lies in the $8 slot. Here you’ll find, amongst others, Jughead Vol. 1, Bloodshot Reborn Vol. 1 and two Dark Horse titles, including Beasts of Burden: What the Cat Dragged In and Black Hammer #1.

$15 or more will land you some interesting stuff from Europe, including Spanish Fever: Stories by the New Spanish Cartoonists, and a tribute to the Dada art movement with Baltic Comics Anthology š! #26: dADa. If you’ve got a bit of cash to spare, this tier will make your weekend definitely more cerebral.

The Eisner Bundle runs for two weeks and is in support of The Hero Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. If you are a fan of Linux and other Open Source software, you should point your browser to the other books bundle on offer, which will land you a number of titles on the subject.
