Between James Bond, Mission Impossible and Jason Bourne, all your spy action thrillers are basically covered, with Tom Cruise’s franchise set for a new film come 27 July 2018. The first trailer for Mission: Impossible – Fallout has dropped, and as can be expected, it is chock full of all you can eat thrills and spills.

The trailer suggests that somewhere along the line Ethan Hunt (Cruise) made a terrible decision that left  plutonium floating around, leaving  the world  under threat. Apart from that, Fallout seems to pick up where Rogue Nation left off, with British Spy Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson) in on the action, and bad guy Solomon Lane (Sean Harris) warning of grave dangers to come.

Keep your eyes open for Henry Cavill (Superman) who makes a turn as a villain this time around, while Angela Bassett (Strange Days) also stars.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout is the first of the franchise to see a director returning for duty, with Christopher McQuarrie getting the honour thanks to some spectacular scenes in Rogue Nation.

True, you kind of know what you are going to get in a Mission Impossible movie but at least it’s not nonsense. Hit the trailer below to see Hunt and co. ride the lightning.
