New Total War: Warhammer trailer is unmissable
By Ryan Noik 24 April 2015 | Categories: newsIt’s not too often that a game trailer comes along that could rival that of The Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit, but the new trailer for just announced game, Total War: Warhammer, is certainly one of them. The trailer below has exactly what you would expect from sweeping fantasy epics – massive armies riding towards each other in massive battles, huge beasts gracing the sky, magic wielders unleashing devastating spells, and a dragon.
Alas, the trailer is not in-engine gameplay footage, but rather sets the stage for the turn-based campaign, set in an unforgiving and treacherous Old World with plenty of war to contend with.
Keeping true to its epic fantasy aspirations, Total War: Warhammer is also the first in a trilogy, with its developers promising that it will deliver hundreds of hours of absorbing gameplay. Furthermore, players can expect two further standalone instalments and additional content packs to create the single largest Total War experience to date.
“We’ve always loved the Warhammer universe, and couldn’t wait to approach it with the same colossal scale and authenticity that has characterised our titles for the last 15 years,” said Total War:Warhammer Project Lead, Ian Roxburgh. “We’re bringing it to life in a way that nobody’s attempted before.” Although the game is yet to be dated, the trailer is enough to ramp up expectation.
