With winter practicing its bite, no doubt we are not the only ones fantasizing about doing virtually everything from the comfort of our beds wrapped in the warmth of the duvet. A new innovation, called the Bedchill, has taken that idea a step further though, introducing an upgrade for your bed that basically brings your study, entertainment centre, and dining room table to hover just above your mattress.

Billed as an overbed rolling table, it is certainly not short of tech, boasting four integrated power outlets, two Bluetooth stereo speakers, four USB 2.0 charging ports and some lighting to customise your experience. Also, it will come with a remote control to control the audio and lighting features of the Bedchill from anywhere in your room.

We can foresee one flaw with this idea though: it nixes any excuse you have for not working the next time your doctor books you off sick for bed rest. That aside, the Bedchill is not yet available, with price, and the counties where it will be available, promised by the manufacturers to be revealed “soon”.
