A number of noteworthy trailers dropped this week, some of which may have slipped past your radar. Luckily, we've compiled the best/most talked about for your viewing pleasure.

This week served up a number of noteworthy trailers, with Netflix in particular detailing its schedule of shows and movies for the next few months. Added to this, a new horror flick from A24 and a promo for Logan made an appearance. If you missed the best trailers from this week, scroll down to see what we've compiled for your viewing pleasure.

Sunseeker (Logan)

Supposedly Hugh Jackman's last outing as Wolverine, Logan will hit cinemas at the beginning of March. With its release only a few weeks away, 20th Century Fox is ramping up promotion. As such, a new clip for the film has debuted on YouTube, titled Sunseeker.

Shot in black and white, it's a fairly grim portrayal of what Wolverine's life has become. Serving as a limo driver, he has picked up a drinking habit to try and numb the pain. As for how he ended up like this, perhaps more promo videos will touch on it.

For now, it appears as if Wolverine isn't coping well post X-Men.

Best bit: Logan flipping the bird sans adamantium claw at 0:40.

Bill Nye Save the World

Ah, Bill Nye the Science Guy. If it wasn’t for the series’ original theme tune, we would never have remembered that “Inertia is a property of matter”. Bill is back, and as you might have guessed, it’s for Netflix.

The new series will take on a talk show format, with some cool science thrown in for good measure. And from what we can gather from the trailer, Bill will not squirm away from the hot topics, including GMOs, sex and alternative medicine. He also has some interesting guests lined up, with Zach Braff and Donald Faison (J.D. and Turk from Scrubs), DJ Steve Aoki, and perennial geek favourite Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation) all making an appearance. It starts 21 April 2017 on Netflix.

Best Bit: The mic drop at 0:54.

It Comes at Night

Sometimes a trailer just gets it right. We’ve seen it done for The Witch and now It Comes at Night sets the tone by revealing just enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.

We know this about the movie so far: While trying to protect his family from some serious craziness lurking outside their house in the woods, a man (Joel Edgerton, who was awesome in Midnight Special) must now also contend with another family looking for safety. It Comes at Night is directed by Trey Edward Shults (Krishna), with the movie set for release in August Stateside. Also check out the gorgeous poster for the movie, which we’ve pasted below.

Best Bit: The dog starting to bark at 1.11, forming a crazy beat for the rest of the trailer.

Dear White People

Netflix had a bunch of trailers debut this week, such as Marvel's Iron Fist. While that one received a positive reaction from fans, Dear White People did not. Based on the 2014 indie flick of the same name, the trailer for this TV series looks like an almost exact recreation. The reason for the dislike, however, currently sitting 249k on YouTube is certainly linked with the political climate in the United States at the moment.

With some Netflix subscribers saying they're going to cancel their sign-up to the streaming platform, Dear White People could prove to be the most divisive series of 2017. Our only hope, is that the series expands a bit more on the ideas that the movie tried to explore. We've also added the film trailer for a bit of comparison.
