Nintendo has hands-on Switch event slated for 13 January 2017
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 29 November 2016 | Categories: newsIn mid-October, Nintendo lifted the lid on its intriguing handheld-console hybrid - the Switch. Since then, apart from a video showcasing the offering in up to four different gaming modes (as far as we could tell), the Japanese company has remained fairly tight lipped about what the Switch is all about. That will change on 13 January next year, however, as Nintendo has a private event scheduled in New York, where the Switch will revealed in greater detail.
For now, the event is said to be for investors and invited media only, particularly as it's said to be lasting up to five hours. This showcase is also expected to delve into the Switch's hardware, as well as the pricing and precise release date, which has been slated for sometime in March 2017.
With more information likely forthcoming about this event's itinerary, Nintendo certainly has people interested in the Switch. Hit play on the video below to reacquaint yourself with why this hybrid offering is so intriguing.
