The annual battle of the football games continues, with fans of Konami’s PES set for a free demo. The PES 2019 demo is set to start on 8 August, with players able to try out new features, modes and gameplay ahead of the official launch on 30 August.

Low on official clubs but high on simulation value, there are a number of new features on board to entice players to sign up. Developer Konami notes these include Visible Fatigue, impacting performance and behavior; new shooting mechanics and improved ball physics; ‘Enlighten’ software for “true-to-life” visual effects; and for the first time, 4K HDR across all platforms.

Exhibition match, quick match and offline CO-OP modes will be available to play in one of two stadiums, FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou or FC Schalke 04’s VELTINS Arena. Fans will have their pick from a selection of 10 teams including Liverpool FC, FC Barcelona and Inter Milan, plus national sides, Argentina and France.

FC Barcelona star and global ambassador Philippe Coutinho will be featured on this year’s cover while a special David Beckham edition featuring a present-day version of one of England’s all-time greatest footballers.

Konami also announced French club, AS Monaco as a new partner club for PES 2019. As part of the agreement, Konami will produce a dedicated cover featuring stars from the top-flight club, and will also play a key part in future Ambassador activations. They join clubs like FC Barcelona, Inter, AC Milan, Liverpool FC and FC Schalke 04 as licensed teams.

PES 2019 will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam come 30 August. For more information, visit https://www.konami.com/wepes/2019/eu/en/.  Hit play below to get a sniff of what to expect in the demo.
