PES 2019 slated for cross-platform launch on 30 August 2018
By Staff Writer 10 May 2018 | Categories: newsWhen it comes to football games, the line in the sand is solidly drawn with gamers either opting for PES or FIFA. In recent years the former has come on leaps and bounds, particularly in terms of gameplay, but licensing has held it back a bit. Now PES 2019 is on the horizon and aiming to overtake its FIFA rival, with the first step being its launch date reveal.
Developer Konami has confirmed that the game is set for cross-platform release on 30 August, revealing a new trailer for the game in the process. The title will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam, with two editions currently up for pre-order.
There's a standard edition which features recent Barcelona signing Coutinho, and a Legend edition with David Beckham on show. The latter will be accompanied by a host of other icons, such as Paolo Maldini, Roberto Carlos, Patrick Viera and Pavel Nedved to name a few.
PES 2019 promises several enhancements to the look of the game, with support for 4K HDR as well. Added to this is a modern design for the in-game menus and a new player card system for the MyClub mode. Nothing was said, however, about more clubs signing up to the franchise.
