The PS Vita may be like the runner who came in fourth at the Olympics (what was his name again?), but it is still no less of a portable powerhouse of gaming than it was when it debuted.

Thus, it is good to see that Sony’s youngest child is receiving some much deserved attention, at least from Resident Evil. Indeed, the latest game, Capcom’s Resident Evil Revelations 2 (review), will be coming to Sony’s handheld a little later this year, courtesy of Frima Studio.

The title will contain all four of the episodes (originally released episodically on the larger consoles) and apparently, will also take advantage of the PS Vita’s touchscreen. Considering that Revelations started its life on the portables (the Nintendo DS to be exact), it is fitting that it should end up there as well. While cross-save is likely, the big question mark at the moment is whether the title will also be cross-buy.
