PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds achieved all-time peak player count on Steam
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 18 September 2017 | Categories: newsPlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is going from strength to strength. Last month it overtook all other titles to the top spot on Steam for a few hours, and now the wildly popular MMOFPS title has achieved yet another milestone this past weekend, reaching the highest peak player count on Steam, with 1 342 587 players at one time. The mark is even more significant as it also sets the all-time record number for peak player counts on the gaming platform.
PUBG's developers took to Twitter to confirm the announcement, with PUBG beating out Dota 2 for the record.

The recent milestone is perhaps more notable, especially as PUBG is technically unfinished. That, however, has not stopped an estimated 10 million copies of the game selling via Steam. With the game also slated to make its debut on the Xbox One later this year, it may be a good idea to get some shares in the company responsible for its creation, Bluehole Studio Inc.
