One of the games that helped cement the Atari 2600's place in console gaming history, Pong was as simple and addictive as they come back in the 1970s. While a modern version of the game would be a nice consideration, there is something a bit larger and more life-like in the works. Designed by Gerardo Orioli and his team, the Pong coffee table is the thing of geek dreams.

Getting your hands on one, however, is still some way off, with the project currently seeking funding to manufacture production-grade versions of the table via Kickstarter. As of this morning, the Pong coffee table surpassed its $250 000 funding goal, with Early Bird backers that forked up $1100 or more set to receive their new game/piece of furniture in December this year.
