President Obama gives VR White House tour before he leaves office
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 16 January 2017 | Categories: newsLater this week, President Barack Obama's second term as leader of the United States will come to an end, and the era of Trump will begin. Before he leaves office though, Obama decided to give his supporters a guided tour of the White House via virtual reality.
Teaming up with Felix & Paul Studios, Obama and the White House posted the 360-degree video on Facebook titled The People's House, with the ability to view it via an Oculus compatible headset too. The video starts off with the front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on view as the day begins. “This house belongs to you, and to every American. For eight years, just a short chapter in the long story of our democracy, my family also had the privilege of calling The White House home,” says Obama.
Eight minutes long, watch The People's House VR video here.
