Like several other manufacturers, Amazon has joined the Product (RED) organisation, with the the company decking out its second generation of Echo Speaker in a new colourway. Amazon confirms that 10%, roughly $10, of their purchase will be donated to Product (RED) global fund that aims to fight the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

The hue of red is not as deep as other Product (RED) devices of the past, but is still certainly eye catching. That said, we would have liked to see the entire device covered in the new colour, as opposed to only the cylindrical fabric portion.

The (RED) Echo Speaker is currently up for pre-order Stateside via Amazon for $99.99 (R1 410), with it slated for shipping on 6 December.
