Red Band trailer for Seth Rogen's R-rated animated movie, Sausage Party, released
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 16 March 2016 | Categories: newsSeth Rogen has been working on his R-rated animated movie, Sausage Party for quite some time. Since 2010 in fact, and now at long last the film is readying for a 12 August release Stateside. Those thinking that this will be your warm-hearted Disney or Pixar style animated movie might be in for a rude awakening, as Rogen crams in as much foul language, violence and pot smoking, as he does in most of his other films, like Pineapple Express and Neighbours.
Sausage Party starts off in a supermarket, where the food actually lives, breathes and talks to one another. They are also blissfully unaware that humans eat them when they're picked off the shelf and taken home. Once Frank (voiced by Rogen) figures out the truth, he sets out on a mission to escape would-be human mouths and save the love of his life, a hotdog bun named Brenda (voiced by Kristen Wiig).
