If you were hoping to learn more about Rockstar Games' new Red Dead Redemption 2 game following the release of its announcement trailer, you're sadly out of luck. While the trailer showcases some beautiful western landscapes, we're still in the dark as to who the main protagonist or indeed what the storyline will be.

Instead, it appears as if Rockstar Games is going to build up the tension even further before divulging any more details. What we can tell however, is that gamers will be part of a group, but whether they fall on the right or wrong side of the law remains to be seen.

Survival also looks to play a big part in Red Dead Redemption 2, just as it did with its predecessor, so your hunting and foraging skills need to be up to snuff. Currently available on pre-order for on PS4 and Xbox One, Red Dead Redemption 2 will land sometime in Q3 2017. Until more information comes from Rockstar Games, give the trailer below a thorough inspection.
