If you’ve been anxiously awaiting the arrival of Apple’s latest iPhone, you’re going to need quite a bit of cash. If a recent report by The New York Times is to be believed, the next mobile device from Apple could be its most expensive to date.

The company is said to have three new iPhones in store for a reveal next month, with two a slightly refreshed update for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, and the third a bezel-less all-screen version designed to coincide with the device’s 10th anniversary.

The latter device, which we’ve caught glimpses of over the past few months, is said to cost in the region of $999, making it $350 more expensive than the current iPhone, according to The Verge. Pricey Apple hardware is nothing new, with consumers all too happy to pay, but the reason for the steep increase is apparently down to the redesign, as well a range of different materials being sourced for its manufacture.

Along with a price, The New York Times says the $999 iPhone will also sport wireless charging and facial recognition. Along with a bezel-less display, the next iPhone appears to be touting features like the Infinity Display that Samsung debuted earlier in the year for the Galaxy S8.

With no official announcement of a press conference at this stage, we only have reports to go on for Apple’s upcoming iPhone.
