Alright PS4 players, that announcement you have been waiting for from Square Enix has arrived. Alas, it’s a double edged sword, because there is good news and there is bad news. The good news is that Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to the PS4. The bad news is that will only arrive a full year after the Xbox One version, meaning you will have to wait till November next year to dip into Lara’s next adventure.

Apparently PC players will get a bit more of a reprieve, with the game set to arrive on that platform early next year.

The problem, at least for those on the PS4, is that the game is looking terrific, posing a few extra questions beyond will there be more tombs in Rise of the Tomb Raider (yes).

These include – can you endure another 16 months of no Lara? Can you survive the inevitable spoilers following the Xbox One launch? And do you think this exclusivity deal was as cold as the Siberian landscape in which Lara will find herself?
