Rock Band VR for Oculus Rift dated for 2016 release
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 4 December 2015 | Categories: newsOculus has been around for awhile now, and is often the first name that pops into your head when you think about VR headsets. The company has been drip feeding the public bits of information about its new VR platform ever since its debut at E3 earlier in the year. One of the most important things we're concerned about right now is content, and the company has now detailed one of the fully fledged titles for Oculus VR - Rock Band VR.
Oculus founder Palmer Luckey and Harmonix co-founder Alex Rigopulos take centre stage in the trailer below, as they enlist Dragon Force to teach them the essence of what it means to be a rockstar. As far as we can tell, it has nothing to do with your fingers and everything to do with your face. Anyone who's played previous Rock Band titles knows that the group's speed metal song Through the Fire and Flames is one of the hardest to pull off. Sadley Luckey and Rigopulos fail miserably, but perhaps the most saddening thing about this video is the lack of actual Rock Band VR footage.
As far as details on the game's release go, it has been slated for 2016. Until more details emerge, click on the video below and fine tune your inner speed metal god.
