Keeping its promise to bring devices into the country as soon as possible, Samsung latest flagship phones are now available for purchase. The Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus, which were revealed only a few weeks ago in Barcelona for MWC 18, have landed locally, with Samsung Mobile South Africa noting pricing and contract deals with select carriers.

If you walk into a Samsung branded store, the Galaxy S9 (32 GB) will cost an estimated R15 499 and Galaxy S9 Plus (32 GB) a fair bit more at R17 999. Both devices will come in three colour options - Purple Lilac, Midnight Black and Titanium Grey, but are subject to availability.

Should you head to an operator for contract deals, Samsung has outlined specific deals from MTN, Telkom, Cell C and Vodacom. The offers are as follows:

MTN Made for Me M (24 month) - S9 for R699 p/m and S9 Plus for R799 p/m.
Telkom FreeMe 1GB (24 month) - S9 for R649 p/m and S9 Plus for R749 p/m.
Cell C Pinnacle 250 (24 month) - S9 for R849 p/m and S9 Plus for R949 p/m.
Vodacom Smart S (24 month) - S9 for R699 p/m and S9 Plus for R799 p/m.
