With CES in Las Vegas done and dusted, it's time to turn our attention to Barcelona and Mobile World Congress 2018 next month. To that end, official invites have begun circulating and one of the most hotly anticipated is that from Samsung, with the South Korean company confirming a Galaxy Unpacked event for 25 February at 19:00 (SAST).

The device in question will be the Galaxy S9, with a S9 Plus more than likely as well. As for what the device will be packing, not much is mentioned by Samsung, but their invite does bare the message "The Camera. Reimagined."

As such, we can expect something new from the South Korean manufacturer in that department, but whether it will be truly groundbreaking remains to be seen, as the word ‘reimagined’ is often bandied about, being nothing more than marketing speak.

With the Galaxy S8 our best flagship phone of 2017, the Galaxy S9 will have to do quite a bit to improve upon that device.
