Second X-Men: Apocalypse trailer brings the Four Horsemen to the fore
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 18 March 2016 | Categories: newsThe next few months are chock a block full of comic book movies to get excited about. An obvious one on the list is the latest project in the X-Men franchise, Apocalypse. We've already seen the debut trailer, along with some Super Bowl TV spots, and now a second trailer has surfaced. The focus this time round is Apocalypse's four horsemen, mutants that he has chosen to bring forth his own special brand of destruction.
They comprise of Magneto (Michael Fassbender), a mohawk sporting Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Archangel (Ben Hardy). Precisely which one of these mutants will inhabit each horseman role is unclear, but they certainly form a formidable foursome. When you add Apocalypse (Oscar Isaac), the original mutant to the mix, Charles Xavier and his young group of X-Men clearly have their work cut out.
With previous X-Men movies being a little hit or miss (we’re looking at you X-Men: The Last Stand), we're hoping this film breathes some much needed life into the franchise. Hitting cinemas in the US come 27 May, hit play on the second trailer after the break.
