Second season of Attack on Titan is slated for release next year
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 4 July 2016 | Categories: newsWe love Attack on Titan. The manga turned anime series is brutally violent, intense, and features a few plot twists, which has certainly proved popular with fans across the globe. It has been awhile though since the first season debuted in 2013 though, but there is hope for long suffering fans. A new poster has surfaced via Shingeki.tv, the Japanese media outlet for the anime series, stating that season two will be released in 2017.

While a more precise date has not been disclosed, The Verge expects the native Japanese version to debut sometime between February and May next year, when most new anime series for the year make their debut. As for the English dub, fans will likely only see that in the latter half of 2017.
As far as the poster details go, we see Eren Yeager in Titan form as the Colossal Titan from the first episode of Season One attempts to scale the first wall of the human stronghold. We also catch a glimpse of the Armoured Titan that broke the second wall. Eren is not alone in all this, with scouts Armin Arlert, Mikasa Ackermann and Captain Levi, ready and waiting in the foreground.
We highly recommend the first season for anime newbies, for the seasoned pros, however, the question remains: Is it 2017 yet?
