Second trailer reveals more Guardians of the Galaxy 2
By Staff Writer 2 March 2017 | Categories: newsAs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 gets ready for release on 5 May 2017, the marketing department’s efforts are hotting up. The second trailer has dropped, and if this doesn’t convince you that we desperately need this bunch to get us out of the superhero slump caused by Iron-Man, Captain America, Superman and Batman, then nothing will.
The trailer debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live, revealing a bit more about the intergalactic romance developing between Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana). We luckily get to see more Baby Groot (Vin Diesel), plus now we have a better understanding of Nebula’s (Karen Gillan) role in the second movie. The big reveal, however, is not until the end, with our first taste of Kurt Russell as Ego, Peter Quill’s long absent father.
A few things are still left to the imagination, for now. There’s no sign of Sylvester Stallone yet, even though he is listed as part of the cast. Who he plays, and if he will only be a voice actor, remains to be seen. Also, there’s not much love for Mantis (Pom Klementieff, Oldboy), who we’ve only seen in passing glimpses, not revealing much about her true powers.
Check out the second trailer below, with the awesome bass on Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain providing the accompaniment.
