Sony debuts the world's fastest SD card
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 23 February 2017 | Categories: newsSony's got the need for seed. Well, at least when it comes to SD cards. The company's latest offering, the SF-G UHS-II has been christened as the world's fastest SD card according to the Japanese manufacturer. Featuring read speeds of up to 300 MB/s and write speeds of a similar 299 MB/s, this new SD card is fastest ever produced, if those specs are to be believed.
Along with being very rapid, the SF-G UHS-II is also shock, water and X-ray proof, along with being temperature resistant. They'll also be available in either 32 GB 64 GB and 128 GB size variants, but pricing remains a mystery for now.
Sony is expected to ship the new SD card to select regions late next month.
