Sony doubles storage on PS4 Slim to 1 TB
By Robin-Leigh Chetty 19 April 2017 | Categories: newsWhen Sony debuted its two new iterations of the PS4 console late last year, the PS4 Pro and PS4 Slim, the latter was undoubtedly the less appealing of the options of offer. Sony, however, is trying to make the PS4 Slim a shade more enticing by debuting a newer model that sports a 1 TB hard drive internally.
The original PS4 Slim topped out at 500 GB, which gives this new variant double the capacity. For now, it's only being showcased for Stateside gamers, carrying with it a $300 price tag, which is in fact the same price the smaller 500 GB model retailed for at launch. The rival Xbox One S was also listed at the $300 mark, which means this option is fairly big on value for money.

While we're yet to hear from PlayStation South Africa on the 1 TB PS4 Slim's local arrival, if it does indeed land in SA, it could be a viable choice for those still to make the jump to a next-gen console.
